Builder listing terms
Version of 30 October 2026
Short and fair: listing is free, every builder is treated equally, and the sale is always between the seller and the buyer.
1. Who we are
Saddle Row (saddlerow.co.uk) is an online showroom for finished custom motorcycles from independent UK builders, run by Chris Goulbourne. "We" means Saddle Row. "You" means the builder or workshop listing a bike.
2. Listing is free and non-exclusive
We charge nothing to list a bike or to have a builder profile, and we take no commission on your sale. You are free to advertise the same bike anywhere else at the same time.
3. Every builder is treated equally
Builder profiles share one layout and are listed alphabetically. No one can pay for a better position.
4. Who sells the bike
Normally you, the builder, are the seller. The sale is between you and the buyer. We are not a party to it, we never take payment, and we never own or hold the bike. You agree the price, payment, handover and any warranty directly with the buyer.
If you list a bike you built on behalf of its owner, you confirm you have the owner's written agreement to list it at the price shown, and you can show it to us if asked. The owner is the seller. You are our point of contact for the listing and its enquiries, and you pass enquiries to the owner or handle the sale for them, as you agree with them. The listing will say it is the owner's bike, listed by you.
5. Your information must be accurate
You confirm that you built the bike (or your workshop did) and that you, or the owner you represent, have the right to sell it; that the bike is finished and road-ready, and is registered in the UK or has the paperwork to be registered; that the frame and engine numbers match the V5C, and you have told us about any finance outstanding on the bike and any write-off or theft record; and that the description, specification, mileage and price are true and not misleading.
You tell us straight away if any of this changes.
6. Photos and words
You confirm you own, or have permission to use, the photos and text you send us. You give us permission to use them on Saddle Row, in our newsletter and on our social media to promote the bike and your workshop, with credit to you. This continues for sold bikes, so they can stay on the site as "Sold". You can ask us to remove any photo at any time.
7. We review every listing
We may edit your text for length and style, and we show you the listing before it goes live. Nothing is published without your agreement. We can decline or remove a listing that doesn't meet these terms.
8. Enquiries
Buyer enquiries come through the form on the bike's page. We pass each one to you, normally within one working day, and you reply to the buyer directly. We don't publish your phone number or email address unless you ask us to.
9. Keep us updated
Please tell us within 48 hours when a bike is reserved, sold or withdrawn, so the listing stays accurate. When a bike sells, please tell us whether the buyer first found it on Saddle Row, even if they then contacted you directly. This is how we show other builders what the platform does.
10. Other services
We may point buyers to third-party services such as finance, insurance, valuation and delivery, and we may earn a commission from those providers. Buyers choose whether to use them, and they never cost you anything or affect your sale price.
11. Removing a listing
You can remove a listing or your builder profile at any time by emailing hello@saddlerow.co.uk. We will take it down within two working days.
12. Our responsibility
We take care to run the site properly, but we are a showroom, not a dealer. We are not responsible for the condition of the bike, the sale itself, or anything agreed between the seller and the buyer. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Your personal information
We use your contact details only to manage your listing and enquiries, as set out in our privacy notice.
14. Changes
If we change these terms, we will tell you before the change applies. If you don't agree, you can remove your listings.
15. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
